Welcome Letter from the 2017/2018 CAPA President

Welcome to the 2017-2018 year for the Cleveland Alumnae Panhellenic Association! I am very excited to be leading you this year, and a huge welcome to all of our new delegates and alternates!

I feel like we have gotten off to a great start. Over the summer we held two social events – the first was a happy hour in July at Melt in Independence where we had a great turnout to socialize; the second was a wonderful potluck dinner hosted by our very own Leslie Cooke at her magnificent home in Euclid. We saw many new faces and had a great time celebrating our panhellenic sisterhood!

My goals this year include getting every member organization involved in committee work – we are a team and our committees are what help us accomplish the biggest projects! I believe this year we will have a strong push towards Community Service, with both a November collection of gifts and multiple spring volunteer opportunities to support Ohio Guidestone. Our scholarship committee is already hard a work planning out how to make this the biggest year yet with scholarship applications. Our social committee is also planning an exciting happy hour on January 25 and we hope to see a lot of our Panhellenic women attend!

My Phi Mu sisters and I are excited to be hosting this year’s luncheon and believe it will be fantastic event for everyone who attends! It will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Woodside Event Center at St. Michael’s in Broadview Heights. We have a dynamic speaker lined up and are looking forward to celebrating our scholarship winners and CAPA’s accomplishments this year! I hope you will all save this date and join us in May!

Our next meeting is Tuesday, October 10 at 6:00pm (with social time at 5:30pm) at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Board Room in the AAA Building in Independence. Thank you all for a great start to the year and I look forward to what is to come!

With Sisterly Love,

Ashley Wohlwend – 2017/2018 CAPA President
