Sorority Spotlight: AGD stands for Alpha Gamma Delta

Although Alpha Gamma Delta was founded on May 30, 1904, in Syracuse, NY, chapters nationwide celebrate its origins as International Reunion Day (IRD) held in April.

This year’s IRD in Cleveland is set for April 8, 2017, and everyone was invited to celebrate with the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter (GCAC) and Alpha Iota Chapter at Baldwin Wallace. This year’s theme, “Empowering Women to Lead the Way!”, will inspire attendees via GCAC’s fabulous speaker, Samantha Martin (Class of 2012).

Inspired by CAPA’s Scholarship Luncheon last year, AGD’s IRD takes place at the Crowne Plaza Cleveland South, Independence, OH.

In other news, on February 11, 2017, the Greater Cleveland Alumnae Chapter and Alpha Iota Chapter sponsored its annual Alpha Gamma Delta Valentine’s Tea at Baldwin Wallace University. Approximately 62 collegiate- and 13 alumnae-members attended. They filled 40 gift bags with personal supplies to be donated to the women of Edna House, Cleveland, OH.

Additionally, AGD’s Panhellenic delegate, Pat Magee-Nemetz, received an Arc of Epsilon Pi for five years of consecutive service to the fraternity.
