Sorority membership provides leadership opportunities, supports philanthropic and community efforts, encourages university involvement, promotes academic excellence and offers lifelong friendships.
But how do you get started?
The Cleveland Alumnae Panhellenic Association is delighted that you are considering sorority recruitment — and is here to help you on your way!
What is sorority recruitment?
Recruitment is a mutual selection process where you’ll have an opportunity to become acquainted with all the sororities on your campus and their members. Recruitment activities might include open houses, informal events, and formal events. You will learn more about the values, traditions, programs and expectations of the individual sororities.
How do you sign up?
Each campus has individual procedures; check with your college as soon as possible. If you have not received registration information for membership recruitment by July, contact the Panhellenic Office or check the campus website. Online registration may be available. Many College Panhellenic websites provide online registration with more information and answers to common questions regarding the process on the campus.
Request an alumnae referral
Some campuses may require or encourage letters of reference/recommendation/support from an alumna/collegian for the sororities on their campus. CAPA can help you with those!
